Four knights game: bomb! c42 Petrov’s defence

At first consider, please, the new extremely important theoretical novelties (discoveries) in 4 knights game, and then we’ll see easy, where is their connection and their importance for theory of c42 Petrov defence (Petrov’s /Petroff’s defence /defense, Russian game).

So this article informs, that 4.Bf1-c4! in initial position of 4 knights game is very strong for white.

Petrov’s defence (c42) can be transposed directly into four knights game in many cases (including 2 following ones, that are connected with these new discoveries).

Case 1:
1.e2-e4 e7-e5 2.Ng1-f3 Ng8-f6 3.Nb1-c3 (c42 Petrov’s three knights game) 3...Nb8-c6 4.Bf1-c4!
Case 2:
1.e2-e4 e7-e5 2.Ng1-f3 Ng8-f6 3.Bf1-c4 Nf6xe4 (c42 Petrov’s Italian variation) 4.Nb1-c3 (initial position of c42/c27 Boden-Kieseritsky /Boden-Kieseritzky gambit) 4...Nb8-c6 5.Nc3xe4!

We can see, that these discoveries cause a new view on black’s move 3...Nb8-c6 in initial position of Petrov’s three knights game and a new view on black’s move 4...Nb8-c6 in initial position of Boden-Kieseritzky /Boden-Kieseritsky gambit.
