- In the Albrecht-Sammlung the anticipation is mentioned, too, and both problems are listed. But there the name of the co-author is wrong, like by Bruno.

- "Is a man who chooses the bad perhaps in some ways better than a man who has the good imposed upon him?"
Anthony Burgess (1917-1993) "A Clockwork Orange," 1962.
Meredith. After a move of wNe4 2. Qd6# is threatened. The goal is to find the correct one (white correction): 1. Nf2? Be6!; 1. Nf6? Bd7!; 1. Nc5? Bf5!; 1. Ng3? Be6!; 1. Nd2? Be6! So the key is 1. Ng5! (2. Qd6#) Bd7, Rd7 (Be6) 2. Ngf7#, Q(x)e6#. The black Grimshaw interference on d7 apears in all phases with changed mates. Reprinted as A173 in the collection "Israeli Problem Chess Art 1932-2010." Edited by Ofer Comay, Gady Costeff, Paz Einat. 2nd edition 2012.
In yacpdb an alleged anticipation (with Pa6->a5) is mentioned: Emilian Dobrescu, Revista de Şah, 1956 "After P. Vatarescu" who is co-author of today's problem. This is not mentioned in Meson or PDB and makes little sense (why should Vatarescu's memory fail so badly, why was this not discovered previously?). Maybe one of the readers can shed light on this issue?
Yoel Aloni (Hebrew: יואל אלוני; September 30, 1937 – September 9, 2019) was an Israeli chess master and problemist. He was the twin brother of Hillel Aloni (1937–2017), see wikipedia en. "While Hillel composed studies, Yoel was more a problem composer. Hillel obtained the title of FIDE Master. To celebrate their 75th birthday, a composing tourney was organized by the Israeli association for chess composition: of course it requires twin studies.
In The Problemist March 2012 page 373 Yochanan Afek reminded that the Aloni brothers "were highly instrumental in bringing up generations of Israeli composers mainly through their studies and problem columns in the monthly Shahmat and the periodical Variantim. [Yochanan Afek himself] owes a great deal to his dedicated youth mentors and patient guides in the minefields of chess composition."
Paul Vătărescu (* 18.12.1928) Romanian-Israeli composer. "Paul Vătărescu was editor of the twomover of the magazine "Revista de Sah" since 1948."
